What is your position?

Wide Receiver

Where do you play college football?

Iowa State University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Working with kids in the community by going to their schools and youth organizations. It always excites me seeing that my role as a college athlete inspires kids to work hard to reach their goals and aspirations.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Sign Language

Where are you from?

Tarpon Springs, FL

Who is your role model, and why?

N/A

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, soccer, and I tried to play baseball

Did you play any other positions in football?

Yes, punt return blocker.

At your position, what separates you from others?

I think that my speed and ability to run routes separates me from my counterparts.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I analyze the defensive backs feet, hips, speed, size, covering, and tackling. I also analyze the team’s coverage, their weakness, and the possible areas of opportunity. 

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Xavien Howard, Baylor University

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Martavius Bryant, because he stretches the field, and has good routes. 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

Before coming to Iowa State Univ. I wasn’t qualified to come to college because of my grades. In my last semester of my Senior year I had to focus in order to get the grades that would allow me to pursue my college career. 

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I pray and kiss my tattoos on my hands “God’s gift”

I can stretch the field and I am patient

What is your biggest weakness?

I sometimes get confused on plays

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?  

“Hello sir! My name is Dondre Daley and I am interested in being a part of your NFL team. I am a wide-receiver that can stretch the field due to my speed. I believe that if you can get your hands on the ball, you can catch it and I strive for that every single time I step on the field; in practice and in game. I can add a unique dynamic to your team because I am able to give the quarterback many options. I can run the short route, deep route, and screens.” 

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Randy Moss and the New England Patriots 

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Randy Moss, Tupac, and one of my ancestors

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

My mom a house
