What is your name?

Dakota Conwell

What is your Height/Weight?

6’1 215

What is your position?

Where do you play college football?

West Liberty University after transferring from the University of Arizona

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Volunteering at the West Liberty christian church, a few teammates and I were able to help the kids with their homework, give a bible lesson, and teach them sports.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Hardest class was financial accounting, thats not my best subject

Where are you from?

I’m from Pittsburgh Pa

Who is your role model, and why?

My role models are both my grandfathers, they show me what being a man is all about, they are well rounded, they always puts family first, and they have good hearts centered around God.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played baseball when I was young and basketball in high school

Did you play any other positions in football?

I have played many positions in football, I played fullback, tailback, quarterback, defensive end, linebacker, and both safety positions.

At your position, what separates you from others?

I make big throws down the field, and I am an elusive runner I can always make the first guy miss

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When studying film I focus on weaknesses in the defense that we can exploit. I try to determine what passing concepts will work best against the coverages we will be seeing. As well I try to see what formation and plays will be most successful against the fronts we will see. I look at personnel and style of play of the opposing players to see where we have the best match ups. Lastly I envision myself making plays against the defense we will be playing.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

The toughest player I have every played was Aaron Donald in high school.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would compare myself to Dak Prescott, I think we have similar builds and are both Quarterbacks that are also very athletic. I also think our foot work and the way we throw the ball are similar.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Biggest obstacle in my life is probably growing up in a single parent home. My mom took care of me my brother and sister by herself so we all leaned on each other a lot. Sports was always the positive outlet we used.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Before every game I watch my previous years highlight video, not to be self centered, but to watch myself make plays and know that I can do that again or make new highlights in this next game.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my competitive spirit, I will play through any injury that i can possibly play through I will do whatever my team needs me to do. I just want to win more than anything else.

What is your biggest weakness?

A weakness of mine is how hard I am on myself. I want to be perfect so when I’m not I sometimes beat myself up, but that drives me to always get better and put a chip on my shoulder.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I started at QB 32 out of 32 games at West Liberty. I played in 10 games as a true freshman at Arizona at linebacker. It doesn’t matter where I play or against who, i make plays when on the field. I can play a lot of different positions but at QB I have tremendous upside. I switched back to QB after not playing it for 2 years and was an immediate starter and named all conference that season and every season after. I just need an opportunity and my ability will do the rest.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite team without a doubt is The Pittsburgh Steelers, Its hard to pick one player as a favorite but i’ve always liked the dual threat qbs, when i was real young it was Michael Vick and as I got older it was Cam Newton.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

I would have dinner with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama, and Kobe Bryant

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

I will pay off my car.
