Patriots offered Martellus Bennett a contract extension worth 7 million per year; Bennett said NO
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media Insiders, the New England Patriots tried to give Martellus Bennett a nice new extension after he was traded to them, but Bennett told them “NO”.

Bennett gambled on himself and it looks like it is about to pay off. According to Rapoport the two will continue talking after the season, but with Gronkowski hurt now and done for the year, it will be interesting to see how valuable Bennett will be for them.
Bennett is chasing the big bucks and I cannot blame him.
