Why are the Bills going to start EJ Manuel week 17 when he is a FA next year?
The Buffalo Bills made a move today that is considered a Buffalo Bill move. The team announced they fired Rex Ryan and his brother Rob. Moments after firing the Ryan’s, an announcement was made by Adam Schefter that the Bills plan on sitting Tyrod Taylor for the final game of the season.
The Bills will apparently start EJ Manuel their former first round pick. The odd note here though is EJ Manuel is likely playing his last game as a Bill too. I am not sure of the concept here, but maybe it is to show the world that Doug Whaley knows a thing or two.
According to reports, Tyrod Taylor could get 30.75 million dollars guaranteed if he suffers a significant injury. So the Bills want to sit him rather than pay him a huge chunk of change, which makes sense. I cannot blame them for that, but why not start Cardale Jones?
Next year, we are not sure if Tyrod Taylor will be on the roster, and shoot who knows if Manuel will be there either? One thing we can guarantee is Cardale Jones will be there. So here is my question to this entire debacle….. WHY NOT CARDALE?
Please let me know what you are thinking?
