Kicker/Punter

Where do you play college football? 

UNC Pembroke

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field? 

I was able to go on a mission trip to Mexico this past summer in which I played football for Team USA. Football was a secondary activity for our team as we were primarily there to share the Gospel. We were able to share Jesus with many people that had not heard of Him. Altogether, 12 people made decisions to follow Jesus, including 4 players from Team China

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Either Physics II or Chemistry II

Where are you from? 

Richlands, NC

Who is your role model, and why? 

Jesus, because He exemplifies how we are to live

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

Growing up I played baseball, basketball, soccer, and golf in addition to football

Did you play any other positions in football? 

In high school I played Wide Receiver

At your position, what separates you from others? 

What separates me from other kickers in the nation is my unique combination of leg strength and consistent accuracy

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When I study film on myself, I look to for solid mechanics

Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 

Non-Applicable for the Kicker position

daviiIf you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

Adam Vinatieri because he was also a Division II Kicker 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

The biggest obstacle that I’ve had to overcome in my life was trying to live my life by my own strength. I overcame that by finding Christ and living by His strength

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

 Prayer

What is your biggest strength? 

Compassion and willingness to help others and receive instruction

What is your biggest weakness? 

I expect perfection out of myself too much, and I know perfection isn’t always possible

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 

 I’m talented, intelligent, hardworking, and you’ll never had to worry about off the field issues with me

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 

Tim Tebow   Team – Carolina Panthers

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Jesus,  Dr. Martin Luther King, and Billy Graham

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

I would buy my mother a house and pay off my father’s house
