Tyreis Thomas

5″10 215

RB

Where do you play college football?

University of South Alabama

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Off the field outside of my own play I have went back to my high school year after year and do my best on coaching the RBs.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Biology

Where are you from?

Rockford, IL

Who is your role model, and why?

My brothers. All 4 of them they are my role models and motivation.

Played basketball.

Did you play any other positions in football?

Played safety (10th grade)

At your position, what separates you from others?

Played corner and linebacker (6th grade)

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

As I Running back I pay close attention to the box of other teams. Typically the DL and backers. How are they stepping, blitzing, and tackling.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Richie Brown (Miss State)

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Just trying to make it to the NFL before I make any comparisons, I enjoy watching them all but I would probably try favoring Matt Forte.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I do not have pre game rituals I just like to go with the flow.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

Fighting for exposure, the bigger teams are the games that will be most evaluated so we have to take advantage.

What is your biggest strength?

My ability to work hard day in and day out. My vision has helped over the years as well.

What is your biggest weakness?

My weakness is probably top speed, I can catch, run, block, hold the football. But I do not have many 60+ yard runs.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say I am a player that is disciplined and committed to preparation. Working everyday to better myself on and off the field. I am a winner, hate losing and a team player. The success of me is to help the team not for personal gratification. I am a complete RB, running, blocking, ball security, and catching.

tyreis-thomas1Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

I do not have a favorite player but obviously I try picking up things from each RB, growing up I loved Ladanian Tomlinson.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Will Smith, Lebron James, Floyd Mayweather

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?
