Middle Linebacker

Where do you play college football?

Simon Fraser University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Helped coach at Summer Football camp for high school players and each them how to play linebacker.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

I took a Molecular Biology and Biochemistry class that was very tough and I had to write an exam every 2 weeks  

Where are you from?

I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba

Who is your role model, and why?

My role models and my motivation are my mother and father. They are the hardest working people I know and the type of people that I aspire to be. They taught me to put 100% effort into everything I do. They preach that with hard work and dedication the sky is the limit, they tell me to keeping improving, getting better and don’t get complacent.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, track and field

Did you play any other positions in football?

Played running back and defensive end

At your position, what separates you from others?

My ability to shed blocks and find the football

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When watching an opponent I look at offensive formations and get their top 3 favorite run and pass plays out of those formation. I then watch how the lineman block on those plays or for tendency i can take advantage of and put myself in positions to make plays.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

The toughest running back I have ever played was Terrell Watson from Azusa Pacific. We would go to war every time we played.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Bobby Wagner because we are a similar size and he is a tackling machine,  very instinctive, and a play maker.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Stand in the endzone and just look at the stadium and the field and appreciate the opportunity to play football and then say prayer

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

By Playing in Div 2, some of the obstacles I have to overcome is the perception that small school players are not as talented as Div 1 players

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strengths are my closing speed, forceful tackler, shedding blocks, and relentless

What is your biggest weakness?

My weakness would be when i am isolated in coverage

I would say that I am the hardest working person you will ever meet. I am relentless in my pursuit to be great and will work day and night to be the best. I am not trying to be just another average player, I want to be one of the greats and if you give me an opportunity I will show how great I am.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite player was and always will be Ray Lewis, his energy and passion for the game is amazing.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Muhammad Ali, Ray Lewis, Martin Luther King Jr

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

I would buy my mom a house and take care of my family
