What is your name?

Jerred Beniquez

What is your Height/Weight?

5’7/170

What is your position?

Slot Receiver/ Return Specialist

Where do you play college football?

I play at Utica College

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

The coolest thing I have done off the field was being able to get the chance to talk in front of a third grade class for a couple of hours. I got the chance to tell the kids the importance of education and staying out of trouble. It was awesome how much they looked up to me as a person and football player.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Accounting

Where are you from?

I am from Kingston, New York

Who is your role model, and why?

My mother is my role model. This lady has been through everything to get me where I am today. To see her smile through all the struggles she has encountered in life motivates me each day to make her proud.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Baseball and Basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

I played corner during modified football

At your position, what separates you from others?

What separates me is my work ethic. I was never the biggest man on the field, but I always play like I am. My agility and quickness in and out of cuts. Catching in and out of traffic. Effort in blocking. Awareness, and capability of reading coverages.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for what coverages a defense likes to run in certain offensive formations. I look for safety rolls, corner bails/press. Capability of outside backers dropping back in pass coverage. Like to see if the defenders get hands on or don’t.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Brandon Jackson

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would compare myself to Cole Beasley. Shorter sized guy. Physically tough. Good hands and footwork. Fast and agile. Capable of being used in multiple schemes.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

I lost my step father who was a huge father figure in my life. He was everything to me and my family and it was a big loss for us. I had a lot of support from friends, family, teachers, and coaches to get me through it.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I pray before every game during the national anthem on the 50 yard line

What is your biggest strength?

Ability to extend yards after catch

What is your biggest weakness?

Height

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

There are those who say they want to be something special but don’t put work in, and then there are those who do put the work in. I am one of those who will give every last bit of energy and hard work I have into this game. I was always taught to have a we over me approach so if it means leaving my feet across the middle to catch the ball or laying a key block for a big play, I am going to do it at 100mph consistently.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Randy Moss, New England Patriots

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Barack Obama

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

My mother a new home
