Josh Norman thanks Julio Jones for making him a better CB; Says he will miss the match-up

Panthers CB Josh Norman wants 16 million per season
Former Panthers cornerback Josh Norman says he will miss the match-ups with Julio Jones

Josh Norman held Julio Jones to 9 receptions and only 112 yards in 2 games against him last year, but Julio Jones still ate those games going for over 266 yards. Norman did a great job at containing Jones and says now he is going to miss the match-up with the former Bama wide out.

“That’s the biggest thing, when we were going back and forth with each other with our great epic battles, me getting up in front of him and him getting me sometimes, it just goes hand and hand,” Norman said via ESPN. “It’s just that respect. And now that I’m not in the division anymore … I’m sad. He was giving me that work.”

Norman then praised Julio saying he made him a better cornerback.  Norman is really growing in the league, and he will have a chance now to face up against Odell Beckham Jr. and Dez Bryant twice a year.

“The biggest thing I get from competition like that is it takes your game to another level,” he said. “Every time playing him, my game has always been at another level. And I’m going to miss that. Not playing him is going to suck, but he’s going to dominate whatever he does. I can’t wait to watch him and be a fan of him until we play him again.”
