Colin Kaepernick failed to stand for the National Anthem

Could Colin Kaepernick end up being the Broncos quarterback?
49ers should cut Colin Kaepernick after last night

Colin Kaepernick has always been a very good football player, but what he did last night makes me sick.  The 49ers back-up quarterback, yes I called him a back-up, failed to stand for the United States National Anthem.

This is not a shot at the fans that attended the game, it is a shot at the thousands of real heroes that shed blood for this country so that Colin Kaepernick can suit up and play football freely.  This was a weak move and I am very sad to have to write something like this.

The 49ers have even confirmed that Kaepernick did not stand for the anthem, and they have issued the following statement, according to Pro Football Talk.

“The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony,” the team said in a statement issued to PFT. “It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens. In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose to participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem.”
