After signing a contract with the Seattle Seahawks defensive end Chris Clemons has decided to retire from the NFL.
Clemons, 34, recorded 14 tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble in 16 games (seven starts a season ago). This came on the heels of him putting up eight sacks for the Jacksonville Jaguars the previous season.
Seahawks DE Chris Clemons has informed the team he is planning to retire, source says. Had rejoined the team on a 1-year deal in the spring.
