Bills cornerback Nickell Robey has a new last name
Buffalo Bills cornerback Nickell Robey has legally changed his name and will now be called Nickell Robey-Coleman according to the Bills website.
“I did the paperwork in mid-May,” Robey-Coleman told Buffalobills.com. “I filled out everything and sent it to my agent. She faxed it off to the state of Florida. The court system was asking for a written explanation as to why I’m getting my name changed to include my mom’s maiden name. I took care of that and now I’m good to go.”
Robey-Coleman changed his name to honor his biological mother. Robey-Coleman lost his mother to heart failure when he was in high school. She was just 44-years old. His Father has since married again and he has a step-mother, but the Bills cornerback wanted to stop the confusion, from people asking him if his step-mom was his Mother.
