Carson Wentz of North Dakota State is making a pretty penny this season but he is earning it
The Philadelphia Eagles traded up to the number 2 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and it looks like it is paying off. There was a report last week that Carson Wentz was picking up the offense faster than Sam Bradford and according to their quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo the rookie has been impressive.
“I don’t want to say there’s anything that surprised me,” DeFilippo said Wednesday, via Philly.com. “I think there were some things that I thought he would need a little more work with it than he does. He’s further along from a seeing-the-field standpoint than I thought he would be. He’s further along from a playing speed standpoint than I thought he would be coming from the FCS level. Those are things that I guess you can say I’m pleasantly surprised with, but not shocked.”
It looks like Carson Wentz is inching himself closer to the starting role in Philly!!!
