Carolina Panthers DT Star Lotulelei was signed to a fifth year option

According to Adam Caplan of Fox Sports, the Carolina Panthers have picked up the fifth year option for defensive tackle Star Lotulelei. Lotulelei was drafted by the Panthers in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of Utah, and shared the Morris Trophy for the best lineman in the Pac-12 Conference.

#Panthers announced they picked up 5th year option of DT Star Lotulelei.
In his career, Lotulelei has 90 tackles, 6 sacks and one forced fumble. The Panthers love him and this gives them another year to work out a long term deal with him.
