Texans re-sign Eddie Pleasant; Tender CB A.J. Bouye
The Houston Texans are working on keeping their own, which never hurts with chemistry of a team. According to Pro Football Talk, the Texans tried to sifn two more before free agency. They were able to sign one so they slapped the other with a tender.
Rather than tender safety Eddie Pleasant, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the team has signed him to a two-year deal that will keep Pleasant under Houston’s control through the 2017 season. Pleasant has played in 46-of-48 regular season games over the last three seasons for the Texans and had 38 tackles, a half-sack and two interceptions for the team while playing every game last year.
Wilson reports the Texans also tried to sign cornerback A.J. Bouye to a multi-year deal, but were not able to get it done. The team tendered him instead.
