Report: Broncos have offered QB Brock Osweiler a 3 year deal worth more than 45 million
Denver Broncos will no longer have Peyton Manning as he is expected to retired tomorrow, and now their number one focus is keeping Brock Osweiler long term. Osweiler is a guy that can come in right now and start for the Broncos. Last season he went 5-2 as a starter for the Broncos when Manning went down with an injury. Well the Broncos are trying to pay the young gunslinger, and have made him a pretty nice offer according to Channel 9 News’ own Mike Klis.
The Broncos have offered Osweiler a three-year contract proposal that is worth more than $45 million, NFL sources told 9NEWS. Osweiler can become an unrestricted free agent at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The market begins with a “soft” opening Monday where free agents can talk to other teams to gage interest and their value.
The Broncos have no choice but to pay Osweiler, because the market for a quarterback this season is not very good. Osweiler is a young quarterback and a player that the Broncos feel can really keep the winning momentum going. Osweiler was the 12th-ranked passer in the final seven weeks of the regular season with an 87.8 passer rating based off 9 touchdown passes, 5 interceptions and 1,821 passing yards. The Broncos won five of Osweiler’s seven starts. Do you think Brock Osweiler is worth that much money?
