The Philadelphia Eagles are serious about Sam Bradford and according to Philly.com’s Les Bowen, the team is making a serious push to get Sam Bradford under contract before the end of the day.
Bowen reported that the Eagles and Tom Condon are scheduled to talk today before the 4 pm deadline of the Franchise/Transition Tag.
If that deadline passes, Bradford’s camp will want to wait to see what might be in the offing during the “legal tampering” period that starts March 7, two days before free agency arrives. So Monday, there was a lot of buzz about a deal being close, and a source close to the situation said the Eagles are making a serious effort.
The Eagles better find a way to get Sam Bradford under contract, because if they do not somehow find a way to get it done they will head into the season with Mark Sanchez as their starter.
