Dolphins restructure the deal of Kiko Alonso

The Miami Dolphins have locked Kiko Alonso up for an additional year according to Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel.  Alonso was on the final year of his rookie deal, so the Dolphins gave him an additional year and a raise.

Alonso, who was set to earn just under a million dollars for this season, agreed to a one-year extension that actually gives him a raise.

The often-injured linebacker, who has missed the bulk of the last two seasons because of knee injuries, signed a two-year deal that is worth $2.8 million.
