Titans new GM says he wants to build his team through the offensive and defensive line
The NFL is won through the trenches, and it was obvious if you watched the Super Bowl. According to Titans website, Jon Robinson the teams general manager watched the Super Bowl as well, and he said he wants to build his team on the trenches.
“If you look at the Super Bowl, really the outcome of that game was decided by the lines,’’ Robinson said. “Denver, they beat Carolina’s line and they got to Cam (Newton). Denver’s line was able to hold off Carolina’s rush, Peyton (Manning) stayed upright, and he was able to get the ball out and Denver wins the Super Bowl.”
“If you watch the Super Bowl, the team that actually got to the quarterback, they won the Super Bowl. The team that protected their quarterback, they won the Super Bowl,’’ Robinson said. “So it is about the lines, and protecting the quarterback and keeping him upright so he can get the ball to the guys who run and catch.”
This is good news for Titans fans, because it looks like Laremy Tunsil or Joey Bosa could be the guy for the Titans with the first overall. Either one will help their team out tremendously.
