Titans job is Mike Mularkey’s to lose; A coach could be hired as early as today
Tennessee Titans could have their new head coach as early as today, and according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com and it could be the same guy that finished the season with them. According to Rapoport, the Titans are expected to hand Mike Mularkey the head coaching job. The problem is Mularkey will have to find himself a new offensive coordinator.
He played college football for the University of Florida, and thereafter, he played nine seasons as a tight end for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. He has served as the head coach of the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars, the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons, and the tight ends coach for the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL.

If the #Titans, as expected, hand Mike Mularkey the job, the plan is for a short-term extension. And he’ll have to hire a new OC. DC Ray Horton interviews for #Titans today. Last scheduled interview & job could be filled as early as today. It’s Mike Mularkey’s to lose.
