NFL Draft Diamonds Picks and Predictions Week 17

Draft Diamonds LogoThe NFL is in the final week of the season, and we have not been the best predictors. As the season unfolded, so did we…. We had a record of 124-84 leading into the week after we had a pitiful 7-7 week last week.  This week we are going to end on a high note and walk away giving you the ultimate gift of success.

New York Jets v. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are going to send the New York Jets packing. This is their Super Bowl, and Rex Ryan will be facing the team that fired him.  The Bills players can send their division rival home, and prevent them from making the playoffs if they win.  I think the Buffalo Bills will some how pull off a win for their fan base and finish the season 8-8.  Rex Ryan’s defense will be too much for the Jets and the Bills shock the Jets 38-34 after the Bills sack Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Jets with seconds remaining.

New England Patriots v. Miami Dolphins

The New England Patriots and Tom Brady finish what they started and dominate the Dolphins.  The Patriots win easily and clinch home field advantage.  Patriots 31-9 over the Dolphins.

New Orleans Saints v. Atlanta Falcons

The New Orleans Saints want to prove that Sean Payton and Drew Brees need to stay with the team.  Tomorrow the Saints will try to make it look easy but the Falcons come up firing. The Saints are down by 14 at the Half to have Drew Brees lead them back and win the game by 10.  34-24 the Saints pull off a win on the road.

Baltimore Ravens v. Cincinnati Bengals

The Ravens were able to get a fluke win last week with Ryan Mallett as their gunslinger. This week A.J. McCarron and company will get it done. The Ravens allow A.J. Green to make several deep plays on their secondary which ultimately take them out the game.  Bengals win 17-12 over the Ravens.

Pittsburgh Steelers v. Cleveland Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers need the Bills to beat the Jets and win this game. They do it very easily as the Browns back-up, back-up quarterback Austin Davis turns the ball over 4 times in the game. The Steelers slaughter the Browns 45-10, sending themselves to the playoffs, and Mike Pettine home jobless.

Jacksonville Jaguars v. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are still not locked into the playoffs yet, but if they get a win this week they are in.  The Texans need to beat the Jaguars and the Colts would need to beat the Titans, and have the Texans lose to advance. Well no need to talk about playoff scenarios because it won’t happen. The Texans led by Brandon Weeden get the win.  Texans 17- Jaguars 14. The Jaguars miss a game tying field goal with seconds remaining.

Tennessee Titans v. Indianapolis Colts

Who even knows what quarterback will start this week. The Colts can pick from Andrew Luck (injured), Matt Hasselbeck (injured), Stephen Morris (undrafted rookie), Josh Freeman (veteran nobody), or Ryan Lindley (professional loser). The Titans have Zach Mettenberger the former Louisiana State product, and that is all I need to know.  Titans win 21-20.

Washington Redskins v. Dallas Cowboys

The Washington Redskins have already clinched the NFC East, and they will not play their starters. The Dallas Cowboys get a win, but they still struggle to beat the second team.  Cowboys win 34-30 over the Redskins

Philadelphia Eagles v. New York Giants

In Tom Coughlin’s last game as a head coach for the Giants, the team destroys the Chip Kelly’less Eagles.  The Giants pull together and annihilate the Eagles 45-17.

Detroit Lions v. Chicago Bears

The Detroit Lions are playing great football under Jim Bob Cooter. The Lions beat the division rival Bears as Matthew Stafford throws a 60 plus yard touchdown bomb to Golden Tate.  The Lions win 28-14 over the Bears.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have already lost one, and now they are ready to get back on pace.  The Panthers win over Jameis, but the Buccaneers rookie has a great game. The quarterback throws for 300 yards and throws three touchdowns.  The Panthers win but it was a close one. 34-31

Oakland Raiders v. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are a sneaky good football team.  They have been playing better football than any team in the NFL.  I think Chiefs get the win this week but it is a nail biter. The game goes to overtime but Cairo Santos finishes off the Raiders. 27-24 Chiefs

San Diego Chargers v. Denver Broncos

I really would like to see the Chargers win, but the Denver defense is way too good.  The Broncos keep their winning going and get the win over the Chargers. Mike McCoy has coached in his final game as a Charger.

Arizona Cardinals v. Seattle Seahawks

I hate going against the Arizona Cardinals but the Seahawks are hard to beat at home.  The Seahawks get the win over the Cardinals when Russell Wilson strikes late in the final couple minutes of the first half.  The Cardinals pull Carson Palmer and company late in the game, after seeing the Panthers won. Seahawks 24-Cardinals 17

St. Louis Rams v. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are playing well right now. Blaine Gabbert keeps his team in the game, and he distributes the ball well around the field. Yes I just said that.  The 49ers get the win over the Rams.  49ers 17 – Rams 13

Minnesota Vikings v. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers should be upset after the way they played last week.  The Cardinals beat the brakes off of Green Bay last week.  Aaron Rodgers is able to get the win this week. 21-18 Packers win
