Lions coach Jim Caldwell is not considered safe in Detroit with the new hire of GM Bob Quinn
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell might not be safe as the head coach after all. According to Rapoport, Quinn is still evaluating the coaching situation.
A big topic of discussion on @NFLGameDay today: New #Lions GM Bob Quinn will evaluate the coaching situation. Coach Jim Caldwell NOT safe.
It was previously believed the Lions could take two or possibly three weeks to make their GM hire. But the team zeroed in on Quinn just five days after the regular season ended.
If Quinn has a different vision for the organization, he’ll have his choice of candidates. A popular name likely to be tied to that discussion in the coming days is Josh McDaniels, who has worked with Quinn in 14 of the past 17 years in New England. Stay Tuned….
