Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict deserves to be suspended for his hit last night; Report says he will be
Cincinnati Bengals knew when they signed Vontaze Burfict that it would come with dumb penalties. Burfict’s biggest red flag was his penalties in college. Burfict was considered a top 10 draft pick before the NFL Scouting Combine and dropped all the way out of the draft. It didn’t help that he failed a drug test at the scouting combine. Burfict may have issues, but the guy is a beast. On the field, he is a top tier linebacker, the problem is he allows emotions to get the best of him. The Bengals do not have a veteran leader on the defense that can keep them cool, and that hurts their team. For example, last night Adam Pac Man Jones and Vontaze Burfict were the reason that the Bengals allowed the Steelers to get in field goal range. If you look at the game though, it was over and Jeremy Hill fumbled the ball.
