3 of the 4 quarterbacks in the Championship game are over 36 years old

Tom Brady could still be on the field week 1, I doubt he stops fighting to clear his name
Brady is an old man, but he is playing very good right now

Having a veteran quarterback has it’s perks.  Many NFL teams are looking to add a quarterback with playing experience, but this year has truly been the year of the old man.

Guys like Matt Hasselbeck had more wins than Andrew Luck, when Hasselbeck was 40 years old. In the past 13 years, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger were the quarterbacks in 12 of the Super Bowl out the AFC.  This year one will be back again, but the interesting statistic is three of the four quarterbacks in the Championship game are over 35 years old.

Carson Palmer of the Cardinals is 36 years old and he has had a career year. Palmer is averaging 301 yards a game, while throwing for 4003 yards and 31 touchdowns.

Tom Brady is 38 years old and also threw for 4000 plus yards.  Brady also threw 33 touchdowns and averaged 318 yards a game.

Peyton Manning is 39 years old but he is having a rough season.  Manning has 2180 yards but has only thrown 9 touchdowns. He has been benched for Brock Osweiler and truly looks like he has lost a step or two.  It would be a great story to see him win it all but I am not sure it is possible.

It is interesting to see older quarterbacks getting their teams to the Championship. If they want to win, they are going to have to fight off Cam Newton the 26 year old that has literally put the Panthers on his back this year.
