Player Summary:

A fifth-year redshirt senior and transfer from Western Kentucky after four years of playing in an air raid offense will be first year at Auburn. Offensive Tackle who possesses solid AA with a big frame and long arms. A slimmer lower body compared to the rest of his body but has the frame to fill out. Displays quick feet and hands with the ability to run upfield. Adequate lateral movement when moving with rushers. Displays good knee and hip bend in his stance that helps him with initial POA impact. Solid upper body strength with adequate lower body strength. Possesses active movement getting into pass sets and creating solid leverage against single pass rushers and holds his own against power rushers. Has the ability to move up to the second level while blocking and is able to find blocks in the open field. Displays good competitive toughness and motor as he plays through the whistle and does not stop on plays even when he does get beat. Only adequate lateral movement hinders him from sliding protection or being effective against speedy edge rushers. After POA, he has a tendency to stop moving his feet and loses any leverage he had generated, and is frequently taken off his feet. Hand usage leaves little to be desired as he tends to have his hands outside opposing rushers. Leans forward during run blocking with his eyes down, easily shedded during this, and ineffective. Played in a system that limited physicality and was a fast-paced moving offense and will have to adjust to playing at a higher level.

Scheme Fit:

Possesses the physical traits to play in most offenses but his current skill set best fits him a high-paced, less physical offense such as the air raid. I believe with new coaching and resources he can fill out his frame and fix some of his technique issues and be a solid player in a balanced offense.

Power Statement:

A big offensive lineman who has the upside and skillset to play at a higher level with most of his issues being able to be fixed with good coaching. Has the physical traits and competitive toughness to compete at the next level and can be a serviceable starter at the Power 5 level and a solid rotational player at the next level. He will be able to provide more tape as he will be competing in the SEC for his final year.
