NFL Draft Diamonds Weekly Picks and Predictions: Week 13

Draft Diamonds LogoLast week was our worst picking ever, we went a rough 4-9.  We picked multiple upsets, and boy did it back fire. On the year, our staff is 96-69, and we are about to finish strong. Week 13 has some favorable match-ups, so here we go:

New York Jets v. New York Giants

I am going to go with the New York Giants. The Jets are a good team and while it will be fun for the city of East Rutherford, NEW JERSEY (not New York), I am going with Eli and the Giants. The Giants need this game more than the Jets, and I feel after a rough loss last week they rebound with a win. Giants 29- Jets 17

Arizona Cardinals v. St. Louis Rams

Will sitting Nick Foles spark a fire under his rump?  It might, but the Cardinals are dominating teams this year. I think the Cardinals pull it off, and I think David Johnson the former UNI running back will go for over 100 and score multiple times.  Cardinals 35-Rams 21

Atlanta Falcons v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Falcons are better on the road and I think today they are able to get the win against the Buccaneers. Falcons get a boost back with Devonta Freeman and are able to run on the Buccaneers defense without Kwon Alexander. Falcons win in a shoot-out 42-41 over the Buccaneers

Seattle Seahawks v. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have been impressive, but the Seahawks need this game more than anyone.  The Seahawks are trying to regain their division and will need to beat the surging Vikings. The Seahawks are able to shut down Adrian Peterson, and get a big play from their special teams unit to get the victory. Seahawks 20 – Vikings 17

Buffalo Bills v. Houston Texans

Mario Williams playing against the Texans will be a fun one to watch. He sat out last game and should be one hundred percent. I think Williams has a field day getting to Brian Hoyer. Williams and the Bills take this game over the Texans because of their defense. Bills 28 – Texans 20

Baltimore Ravens v. Miami Dolphins

Both of these teams are struggling badly, and they are playing some rough football, but you have to take the home team in this game.  Two 4-7 teams battling with Ryan Tannehill and Matt Schaub at quarterback. I have to take Tannehill in this one. I think it will be a field goal game though. Dolphins 12 – Ravens 6

Cincinnati Bengals v. Cleveland Browns

The Bengals are 9-2 and the Browns are starting Austin Davis. While I would love to see an upset, I cannot imagine that is possible.  I think the Bengals win easily, and Dalton has a big game. Bengals 27- Browns 13

Jacksonville Jaguars v. Tennessee Titans

This is a tough game and while the Jaguars are the better team, they struggle with bad teams. They have been right there all year long, in the game until the end. I think they are in this game until the end as well, but Marcus Mariota and the Titans are able to pull it off. 23-21 Titans

San Francisco 49ers v. Chicago Bears

The Bears are the better team and they are at home. This should be an easy game for Jay Cutler and the Bears playing against Blaine Gabbert.  Bears defense wins this game but it is way closer than expected. In Overtime the Bears win by a field goal 31-28.

Denver Broncos v. San Diego Chargers

I would love to pick against the Broncos because I can see a trap game. The only problem is the Chargers have been beaten this year by some bad teams. The Broncos defense is too strong, and even though everyone is on the Brock Osweiler wagon, I am going to pick the Broncos. 35-20 Broncos win!

Kansas City Chiefs v. Oakland Raiders

The Raiders need this game if they want to continue their hopes for the playoffs. The Chiefs need it as well, but Alex Smith struggles this week. He hasn’t been picked off in a while and Charles Woodson and company make him have a day to remember. The Raiders pull off an upset at home and win 34- 24.

Carolina Panthers v. New Orleans Saints

The Saints are horrible this season, but they battled the Panthers last time, giving them the best game they have played all season. I think the Saints are a good team, but I cannot see them beating the Panthers even at home. Panthers are too tough and they win big 42 – 17, the Saints defense is bad…..

Philadelphia Eagles v. New England Patriots

Tom Brady at home is a free pick. The Eagles have been horrible all season and I will not pick them until they let go of Chip Kelly. I like my Eagles fans too much to pick them.  They deserve better, and that is why I am picking the Patriots to win. Patriots rebound against the Eagles and blow them out 56-17.

Indianapolis Colts v. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers at home are tough to beat, and they are playing against the undefeated Matt Hasselbeck. This game is a lot closer than many think, and Hasselbeck and the Colts have a chance to pull it off with seconds remaining, but Adam Vinatieri misses a 42 yard field goal. Steelers win 33 – 31

Dallas Cowboys v. Washington Redskins

The Dallas Cowboys without Tony Romo are horrible. I cannot pick them, I am sorry. I am picking the Redskins and Jay Gruden. Redskins win 20-17 on Monday Night Football.  The game ends with a Kirk Cousins forty yard pass to Desean Jackson to end the game with under 2:30 left in the game.
