Dallas Cowboys place Tony Romo and Gavin Escobar on I/R; Promote two from PS
The Dallas Cowboys officially placed QB Tony Romo and TE Gavin Escobar on season-ending injured reserve. The Cowboys also promoted QB Jameill Showers and DT Casey Walker to their active roster.
The Cowboys called up quarterback Jameill Showers, as well as Casey Walker. The undrafted rookie Showers is expected to be active for Week 16 in a special teams role. Walker went undrafted out of Oklahoma in 2013 and had multiple stints on different practice squads around the NFL.
The Cowboys also placed tight end Gavin Escobar on the season-ending injured reserve. He tore his Achilles in Week 15 and had surgery last Tuesday.
