Cowboys wide out Dez Bryant has been placed on I/R; Needs foot surgery
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will undergo surgery on his ankle and foot next week, head coach Jason Garrett told reporters on Wednesday.
Bryant has been tending to a foot fracture that he sustained in the season opener. He returned on Nov. 1 but suffered an ankle injury. Bryant has been placed on the team’s injured reserve as of today. He finished the season with a horrible stat line of 31 catches for 401 yards and three touchdowns.
Cowboys also placed DB Barry Church and DE David Irving on season-ending injured reserve. The team promoted WR Vince Mayle and WR Rodney Smith to their active roster, and signed veteran DB Josh Thomas.
The Cowboys also signed WR Donte Foster, DE Mike McAdoo, and DB Brandon McGee to their practice squad.
