Carolina Panthers place CB Bene Benwikere on I/R; Sign veteran CB Robert McClain
The Carolina Panthers announced the signing of veteran CB Robert McClain on Tuesday. The Carolina Panthers have placed CB Bene Benwikere on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered a lower leg fracture during their Week 14 win over the Falcons, per Joe Person.
McClain was a seventh round draft pick of the Carolina Panthers. He was a cornerback, punt returner, and kick returner with the University of Connecticut Huskies.
Since getting drafted by the Panthers, McClain has played for several other teams:
- Carolina Panthers (2010–2011)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (2011)
- Atlanta Falcons (2012–2014)
- New England Patriots (2015)*
McClain is now back and will try to help out the amazing undefeated Panthers defense.
