Robert McClain has been signed by the Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers announced the signing of veteran CB Robert McClain on Tuesday. The Carolina Panthers have placed CB Bene Benwikere on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered a lower leg fracture during their Week 14 win over the Falcons, per Joe Person.

McClain was a seventh round draft pick of the Carolina Panthers. He was a cornerback, punt returner, and kick returner with the University of Connecticut Huskies.

Since getting drafted by the Panthers, McClain has played for several other teams:

  • Carolina Panthers (2010–2011)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (2011)
  • Atlanta Falcons (2012–2014)
  • New England Patriots (2015)*

McClain is now back and will try to help out the amazing undefeated Panthers defense.
