Cardinals have placed CB Tyrann Mathieu on I/R

Today the Arizona Cardinals made it official. They placed the Honeybadger on the season ending injured reserve.  There were reports yesterday that Mathieu’s knee was loose and that is exactly what happened. He had an injury that would prohibit him from returning this season.

The Arizona Cardinals officially placed DB Tyrann Mathieu on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday and signed S Chris Clemons. Clemons was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Clemson University.

Clemons was recently with the Cardinals and has been off and on. He has been on three teams in his career.

  • Miami Dolphins (2009–2013)
  • Houston Texans (2014)*
  • Arizona Cardinals (2014-2015)
