Bears have signed tight end Rob Housler

The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that they’ve placed TE Martellus Bennett on season-ending injured reserve with a rib injury and signed TE Rob Housler.

The Bears replaced Bennett with Rob Housler who was recently released by the Cleveland Browns. Housler was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft after playing college football for Florida Atlantic.

In his career Housler has 1000 career yards.
