The New York Jets announced that they’ve promoted S Ronald Martin to their active roster and waived DL T.J. Barnes.

The Jets on Sunday promoted strong safety Ronald Martin off waivers from the Seahawks. Martin (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) is an undrafted free agent out of LSU. He was among the Seahawks’ final cuts, when NFL teams had to reduce their rosters to 53 players.

Barnes played college football at Georgia Tech. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
