Colts have released former Broncos cornerback Tony Carter

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve placed DT Henry Anderson on season-ending injured reserve and waived CB Tony Carter.

These moves free up two roster spots. Anderson suffered an expected torn ACL.  The injury must be bad if they are placing him on the injured reserve without the results.

Carter was signed by the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Florida State. He has also played for the New England Patriots, before signing with the Colts. His stay was not long in Indy, but he could end up on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
