Report: Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota could miss 3-4 weeks with an MCL injury
According to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, Titans rookie QB Marcus Mariota has a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee, and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.
Even though this injury is not expected to require surgery, Cole mentions that Mariota could miss between 3-4 weeks in order for his knee to be fully heal. With this in mind, Cole expects the Titans to hold Mariota not only out of Week 7’s game, but possibly a few weeks after.
According to Cole, the fact that the Titans have Zach Mettenberger as their backup quarterback will likely lead to them being very cautious with the No. 2 overall pick.
