The Atlanta Falcons worked out five linebackers this week before signing Philip Wheeler. According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Falcons brought in four linebackers for workouts this week including Emmanuel Acho, Khaseem Greene, Philip Wheeler, Carlos Fields, and Ronald Powell.
Emmanuel Acho was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas.
Khaseem Greene was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Rutgers.
Carlos Fields played college football for the Winston-Salem State, and signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent.
Ronald Powell was drafted by the Saints in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of Florida.
Philip Wheeler was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia Tech. Wheeler has also played for the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins, but he was signed yesterday after his work-out.
