Could the Saints deal head coach Sean Payton to the Dolphins?
The Miami Dolphins need a head coach and they are willing to make a splash because their team needs anything they can get. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, multiple NFL teams, including the Dolphins, are expected to inquire about Saints Head Coach Sean Payton’s availability after this season.
The Colts could be interested as well, especially if coach Pagano keeps struggling. Payton is under contract through the 2017 season, and makes $8 million per year with this agreement. However, Schefter mentions that Payton’s contract will not deter teams from approaching the Saints about a potential deal, which means they would have to trade for him.
