Brandon Marshall admits to going ham on Jets rookie Devin Smith for miscommunication
Brandon Marshall commented on Greg Hardy and the way he went off his coach, but the Jets wide out admitted to going ham on his teammate for miscommunication.
“It’s just high emotions,” Marshall said following Wednesday’s practice. “You lose a game like that, it’s a lot of emotion. Sometimes you need time to cool off. That happens every Sunday on every sideline.
“Time was ticking down and [we’re] trying to figure out who’s on or off the ball. We got it all squared away. We’ll start communicating better moving forward.”
Coach Todd Bowles was aware of what happened between the receivers and said “it’s no big deal,” while Marshall said he talked with Smith in the locker room after the game and told the rookie “it’s over,” turning the conversation to the Raiders.
