Texans place OG Jeff Adams on I/R

Offensive lineman Jeff Adams, who started both games at left guard this season, will land on injured reserve after Sunday’s 24-17 loss to Carolina.

“Jeff Adams will be out for the year with a knee injury,” head coach Bill O’Brien said Monday. “I feel for the guy. The guy really put a lot of effort into this season. He was here all offseason, really improved as a player and those things happen. Those injuries happen.”

@HoustonTexans: The 2015 season is over for #Texans left guard Jeff Adams.
