Rams first round pick Todd Gurley has been cleared for full contact
The Saint Louis Rams have cleared first round pick Todd Gurley for full contact in practice. The former Georgia Bulldog will be a full go in practice, but will not play in week 1 according to Pro Football Talk.
Gurley is no longer wearing the yellow beanie on the top of his helmet that lets his teammates know not to contact him during practices. Gurley said Sunday that while he “can do everything” in practice sessions, he’s going to patient when it comes to getting the final green light in his return from the torn ACL he suffered while playing for Georgia last season.
“I definitely would want to be playing, but I know it’s going to be a long journey,” Gurley said, via the team’s website. “You have to be patient and when the time comes it comes. I’ll be ready for it. I’ve been waiting this long, so why not wait a couple more weeks or so?”
