Panthers place WR Kelvin Benjamin on I/R; Release 7 others
Today the Carolina Panthers placed Kelvin Benjamin on the injured reserve, ending his season. The former first round pick from Florida State suffered a season ending ACL injury during a joint practice with the Miami Dolphins. Benjamin just cut wrong and blew out his knee. The team also released several players from their roster including Jarrett Boykin, Robert Lester and Melvin White.
