The Viking announced this morning that they have waived quarterback Mike Kafka, who did not practice yesterday, with an injured designation.

Kafka has played sparingly this preseason. He went 7-for-10 for 66 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers in the Hall of Fame Game. Since then, he has thrown just three passes, completing two of them for nine yards.

The move gets the Vikings down to 75 players before today’s deadline. This leaves the Vikings with three quarterbacks on the roster including Teddy Bridgewater, Shaun Hill and Taylor Heinicke.
