Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon had his rights claimed by CFL Argonauts; Jags will not let him go

Justin Blackmon may not ever play in the NFL again.

Justin Blackmon may not ever play in the NFL again, and by the sounds of it, he will have a hard time getting to the CFL…..

Jaguars have not had Justin Blackmon in a long while, that is why the Toronto Argonauts claimed his rights last week. Too bad Blackmon will not be able to leave the US to play, because the Jaguars will not let him.

According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, the Jaguars would “most likely not” release the former No. 5 overall pick from his contract to pursue a career in the CFL.

Sportsnet.ca reported that the Toronto Argonauts added him to their “confidential” negotiating list in August (though it didn’t stay that way for long). That would give them Blackmon’s exclusive rights if he ever played in the CFL.
