Jaguars promote Peyton Thompson to their 53 man roster; Release Bryan Walters
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Saturday that they’ve released WR Bryan Walters and promoted CB Peyton Thompson to their active roster.
The team released veteran wide receiver Bryan Walters on Saturday to make room for cornerback Peyton Thompson, who was elevated from the practice squad.
Walters led the team in receiving during the preseason and had two catches for 17 yards in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Walters has bounced around the league, but could find a new home soon. He is a pretty solid player.
