Bills save 2.5 million dollars by re-signing Matt Cassel
Field Yates of ESPN reports that new contract signed by veteran QB Matt Cassel with the Bills on Tuesday includes a base salary of $2 million for the 2015 season.
The Bills were looking to pay 4.5 million dollars if he stayed with the team. After Cassel was released the Bills wanted to ensure they could save some money. The team was able to sign the veteran Cassel back to a re-worked deal that only costs them 2 million dollars for one season.
This is a great deal for the Bills, and ensures the team has three capable quarterbacks on their roster.
