Minnesota Vikings release veteran long snapper Cullen Loefller
Today the Minnesota Vikings released LS Cullen Loeffler after Kevin McDermott beat him out for the job. The Minnesota Vikings have released long snapper Cullen Loeffler, the longest-tenured member of the team. Loeffler was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2004.
- Has appeared in 155 games, the most by a Vikings long snapper in franchise history. Mike Morris is 2nd with 144 games.
- Won Vikings long snapping job as a rookie free agent in 2004 and has only missed a 5-game span that ended his 2011 season.
- Snapped on 10 of the 11 longest FGs in Vikings history.
OFF THE FIELD Cullen Loefller is one of the most active Vikings players in the Twin Cities community, so this is huge news.
