Stevie Johnson looked really good last night for the Chargers; He is a sleeper in Fantasy

Chargers have a steal in Stevie Johnson

Stevie Johnson is probably one of the best teammates a player can have. He was a leader in Buffalo with the young wide outs there, where he was a thousand yard receiver three years in a row.  Now the former seventh round pick from Kentucky is hoping to make his presence felt in San Diego.  Johnson is with the best quarterback he has ever played with in Philip Rivers, and he is excited about the team.

“There is something special about being here,” he again said following the game.  “I’ve always wanted to be a part of a team like this.  To have the type of quarterback we have here, with this type of system and these teammates and coaches.  This is probably the back end of my career, but I think it could be the best.  I’m excited to be a part of this team, and what we are building.”

Johnson had 4 receptions last night for 63 yards, and that included a very nice 34 yard reception. Johnson thinks the Chargers could be special this year.

“You need to be versatile in order to be effective in this type of offense,” he explained.  “They will need me to do a lot, and I have to be able to do it.  This is not your regular, typical offense.  I feel like Keenan (Allen) and I are guys who can flex from the outside to the inside, and have all these different route concepts. And when you have a guy in Malcom Floyd who can take the top off the defense, that allows us to do our thing underneath.  So if we can do everything they ask, we can be effective.  That is what I love about this team. We have a lot of talent, great coaching and a great quarterback all on the same page.  And our quarterback has the freedom that he needs.  Not a lot of teams give their quarterback that freedom. So the sky is the limit if we are able to master all we have to.”

I think Stevie Johnson is going to be special this year, he is my fantasy sleeper in every league.
