Steelers traded for Brandon Boykin because they are concerned about Senquez Golson’s shoulder
Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded a fifth round pick for Brandon Boykin who will likely start for the Steelers this year, because they are worried about their second round pick.
The Pittsburgh Gazette is reporting that the Steelers traded for cornerback Brandon Boykin on Saturday because they are concerned about the shoulder injury to rookie Senquez Golson and are not sure when he will return.
Golson, a No. 2 draft pick, has been on the physically unable to perform list since training camp began eight days ago. Media was pushing Golson as a potential solution to the team’s cornerback problem, but he is incredibly small (5’9/176) and now injured.
