Michael Bennett of the Seahawks wants more money, but lost 17.363 for a late hit on Alex Smith

Michael Bennett does not like the way quarterbacks complain about getting hit, but his late hit on Alex Smith has been docked. The NFL fined Bennett $17,363 for striking Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith in the head and neck area during last week’s preseason game.

The hit occurred on the Chiefs’ first offensive play from scrimmage, and Bennett was flagged for a roughing the passer penalty.

Bennett wants a pay raise, but if he keeps making boneheaded plays like this he will be hoping for even more money.
