Report: Buffalo Bills are expected to part with either Matt Cassel or EJ Manuel

Matt Cassel is expected to start in the first preseason game for Buffalo

Matt Cassel could be on his way out in Buffalo

Ian Rapoport just ruffled some feathers, and it sounds like the Bills will go with only two quarterbacks on their roster.  The Bills could be releasing either EJ Manuel or Matt Cassel very soon. This sounds like pure speculation, but when Ian Rapoport speculates, he knows something.

With QB Tyrod Taylor starting for #Bills in Week 1, expect that either Matt Cassel or EJ Manuel will not be on Buffalo’s roster by then.

I would expect the Bills to release Matt Cassel since EJ Manuel’s contract is guaranteed.  Cassel will save the Bills money if released. If the Bills release Matt Cassel they will save $4,750,000, while if the team releases EJ Manuel they will lose ($2,827,141).
