Pete Carroll says Kam Chancellor is making a “Very Strong” statement by holding out
The Seattle Seahawks are trying hard to lock up their superstars, and Kam Chancellor is one of those players that the team wants to have long term. The problem is Chancellor is currently holding out. Pete Carroll was asked about the situation and if the team was closer to a long term deal, and Carroll was very honest.
“I don’t know that we’re any closer but I know that we’re all working, working to stay connected,” head coach Pete Carroll told reporters after practice Saturday when asked about the strong safety. “There’s still stuff to be talked out.”
Chancellor is trying to re-do his four year, 28 million dollar deal he signed two years ago. When head coach Pete Carroll was asked if the ongoing holdout surprises him he said absolutely not.
“No, because he’s very strong minded. He’s wanted to make a very clear statement, which he’s doing.”
